Working with our Russian partners RBV Energy have recently shipped a replacement mud standpipe manifold to Sakhalin. RBV Energy provided a full turnkey package including design, material supply, fabrication, assembly and testing. We worked with our client to assist with their design changes whilst still maintaining the critical interface points.
From the enquiry stage we assisted the client with the design of the replacement manifold. The mud gate valve sizes that our client were using were non-standard and many other vendors were offering these on a significantly longer lead time. RBV Energy were able to offer these valves on a shorter lead time which meant the delivery of the manifold suited the client's shutdown schedule.
In order to provide our client with the correct flanged end valves they needed to mate with the existing pipework we welded specially machined API 6A flanges onto butt weld valves.
We provided regular updates to our client, including biweekly conference calls, and they witnesses many of the critical path activities including fabrication.
Again our client was kept up to date on all activities and arranged for the witness of the FAT which passed without any issues.
As the manifold we supplied was to replace an existing manifold our client asked us to handle disassembly for shipping to site. The parts were packed so our client could easily reinstall when everything arrived offshore.
Despite the delays due to COVID-19 we still managed to deliver the manifold within the timeframe the client expected and without any issues.
